The Medical Claims Assistant role

Your Primary role as a Medical Claims Assistant, working within our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Team, will be to liaise with medical organisations obtaining and organising medical records.

The day to day

  • Sorting medical records to produce relevant chronologies.
  • Paginating medical records.
  • Obtaining additional or missing records or information.
  • Assisting with taking new claims enquiries and obtaining all relevant information to assist the team assessing the merits of new claims.
  • Carrying out initial fact finding meetings and telephone calls with new and existing clients.
  • Assisting Fee Earners and carrying out other ad hoc tasks that assist the team.

What experience do I need?

We are looking for a graduate who has a keen interest and knowledge of clinical negligence, as well as an understanding of personal injury. Experience in customer care and communication would be an advantage.
