Your primary role of legal secretary is to provide direct support to our litigation team to enable them to operate at optimum efficiency. You are expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative. This role is part-time and there is flexibility on how many hours you will be required to work and what these hours are.
Previous experience as a legal secretary or experience of working in an alternative professional office with fast and accurate word-processing and audio-typing skills.
Excellent communication: Your written and verbal communication skills must be at a high standard and you should be comfortable producing letters and other documents which are to be sent out to clients.
Excellent inter-personal skills: You should have the ability to establish and maintain a professional working rapport with both Clients and other members of the Firm.
The role will be based at the firm’s A12 Commercial Hub; a bespoke modern and agile working environment with excellent transport links (being based on Junction 25 of the A12 and within 500m of Marks Tey train station), extensive free parking and facilities to encourage alternative means of travel to work. You will be supporting our growing litigation team which is made up of nine fee-earners and one legal secretary. You will be expected where necessary to support other fee earners across the firm.
