Holmes & Hills Solicitors held two events for local landlords, providing them with an update on important changes to the law governing landlords and tenants.

The events featured special guest speaker Joanne Dron, regional representative of the National Landlords Association (NLA), the leading representative body for landlords in the UK.

David Dixey, Landlord & Tenant Law specialist at Holmes & Hills Solicitors led the talk on important legal developments and the implications of these for landlords, including how you can ensure you continue to protect your interests.

Open to both members and non-members of the NLA, the events covered topics including:

  • Changes in the law (key issues to watch)
  • Review of the newly changed eviction procedures
  • New ‘Right to Rent’ rules and penalties
  • Overview and outlook for the rental market over the coming 12 months

As a representative of the NLA and a full time landlord, Joanne shared her industry insight, practical tips and experience.

Over 150 landlords booked to attend the two events held at Braintree Town Hall, Essex and The Granary, Sudbury, Suffolk.
