Holmes & Hills Solicitors is supporting the largest trainee cohort in the firm’s history, with 16 trainees and solicitor apprentices now undertaking legal training across the firm.
This September, Holmes & Hills welcomed seven new trainee solicitors and solicitor apprentices, bringing the total cohort to 16. The new starters will rotate across a variety of departments, gaining practical experience across different areas of law.
The 2026 trainee intake represents a 75% increase compared with 2021, when four individuals commenced training with the firm, compared with seven in 2026.
The firm has also expanded its early careers programme through its solicitor apprenticeship route, welcoming three solicitor apprentices during 2026. The apprenticeship combines academic study with practical experience, providing an alternative route into the legal profession while developing skills within the firm.
Several members of Holmes & Hills' senior leadership team began their careers as trainee solicitors with the firm, demonstrating the opportunities available for those looking to build a long-term career at Holmes & Hills.
