Jacob Longman

Jacob is a Legal Executive in Holmes & Hills’ Property Litigation Division, sitting within the wider Dispute Resolution Department. He works with property owners, residential and commercial landlords, as well as tenants and letting agents, in order to resolve their legal disputes efficiently and protect their interests.

Jacob assists clients with property litigation matters focused on protecting ownership and occupation rights, resolving landlord and tenant disputes, and supporting the long term use and value of residential and commercial property, such as:

• Possession Proceedings;
• Forfeiture claims;
• Trespasser claims;
• Boundary disputes.
• Trust of Land matters (including claims brought under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996);
• Leaseholder block management disputes;
• Service Charge disputes;
• Breach of covenant claims;
• Dilapidations;
• Residential lease extension disputes;
• Commercial leases renewals and interim rent disputes.

Jacob takes a pragmatic and proactive approach, focused on helping clients make informed decisions at each stage of a dispute. By providing clear advice tailored to the circumstances of the client, he helps manage risk, avoid unnecessary escalation where possible and works with his clients towards a practical outcome.

Jacob joined Holmes & Hills Solicitors in 2026, and is based at the firms’ Witham office.
