Sophie works with a broad range of clients including business owners, managers, directors and landlords to help them protect their commercial interests, enabling them to pursue commercial opportunities whilst minimising the risk through strategic and substantiative advice.
As a trainee commercial property solicitor working with Holmes & Hills commercial property and corporate and commercial solicitors, Sophie works closely with senior members of the team to provide assistance relating to a wide range of commercial activities. This includes the sale and purchases of limited companies, assisting in legal due diligence, and drafting documentation as required. Sophie is also able to assist in queries that may arise owing to shareholder agreements and Articles of Association.
Additionally, Sophie also provides clients with advice on matters relating to the sale and purchase of commercial freehold property, first registrations and queries relating to commercial leases both from the perspective of commercial landlord and tenant. Sophie manages her own individual cases, as well as assisting the wider team in more complex matters.
Sophie takes the time to understand her individual client requirements, researching in a quick and efficient manner to filter information to prepare and advise them in the most tailored manner. Sophie’s empathetic and open communication style ensures her clients are armed with the best possible advice, enabling them to make the most suitable commercial decisions for their business needs.
Sophie joined Holmes & Hills in 2020, having completed a number of work placements in London based law firms, as well as gaining a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course. Prior to this Sophie was a qualified Primary School teacher, progressing to Senior Management before pursuing a career in law.
