Holmes & Hills is overjoyed to announce that Chrissie Parkes, construction solicitor within Holmes & Hills’ nationally recognised Construction Law Department, has been named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Construction 2025.
The Top 100 Most Influential Women in Construction is an annual awards evening hosted each September by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). The awards celebrate women’s significant contributions and achievements within the construction sector.
Launched in 2022, the awards showcase leading women in construction, highlighting their successes and shining a light on those working to support equality, diversity, inclusion and equity across the industry. The aim is to make women in construction more visible and accessible to the next generation - helping to attract female talent and address the sector’s well-known skills gap.
Chrissie was nominated for her outstanding work representing contractors and subcontractors in complex disputes and adjudications, as well as her commitment to mentoring junior lawyers and supporting industry initiatives that encourage women to consider careers in construction law.
Commenting on the recognition, Partner and Head of the Construction Department, Lawrence Pearce, said:
“This award underlines not only Chrissie’s technical excellence but also her dedication to supporting the wider industry. She is passionate about making construction a more inclusive sector, and her recognition on a national stage is something the whole firm is proud of.”
Reflecting on her award Chrissie Parkes added “I’m honoured to be recognised alongside so many inspiring women making a difference in construction. I am proud to be a part of a movement of women who have broken stereotypes and pushed down barriers to be counted as equals.”
The 2025 awards ceremony was held on Thursday 18th September at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester, with all those shortlisted in attendance. Awards were presented across categories such as Local Heroes, Allies, One to Watch, and Women on the Tools, before the announcement of the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Construction.
Holmes & Hills’ Construction Team was represented on the night by Lawrence Pearce, Chrissie Parkes, and Abbie Chisnall.
This national recognition reflects the strength and continued growth of Holmes & Hills’ Construction Law Department, which is consistently ranked among the leading practices in the region and trusted by contractors, subcontractors, and developers across the UK.
