Lease extension service recognised by Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP)

Holmes and Hills solicitors in Braintree is pleased to announce it has been selected for inclusion on the panel of lease extension solicitors for the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP).

Membership of ALEP, an independent and non-political organisation, recognises our specialist expertise in experience in lease extensions, collective enfranchisement and right to manage matters. Membership gives both leaseholders and freeholders an assurance of consistently high service levels as well as confidence in our integrity and professionalism.

In order to be accepted on the panel by ALEP, Holmes and Hills had to demonstrate that we work within the guidelines set down by the organisation and adhere to their high standards of service.

Commenting on the news, Company and Commercial Property partner Rebecca Mason had this to say:

“We are very excited to be working with such a well regarded, professional organisation as ALEP and are proud that our inclusion on their panel recognises our own high standards.

We are looking forward to helping more clients with their lease extensions, collective enfranchisements and leasehold disputes following our appointment to the ALEP panel.”

With many people spending more time at home during the coronavirus pandemic, they may be finding they have more time on their hands, and have started to research the costs of extending their lease. Indeed, in April this year, ALEP reported a 25% increase in website visitors looking for information regarding lease extensions.

With marriage value having a significant impact on the overall cost of extending a lease, it may be worth checking your existing lease and making enquiries as to the cost of extending your lease if it is nearing the 80 year mark.
