Abbey Yates

Abbey is a solicitor in the firm’s Land and Development Division (a specialist group of land development solicitors within the wider Legal 500 recommended Commercial Property Department at Holmes & Hills Solicitors), supporting the senior members of the team.

Abbey assists and advises on matters such as:

• Acquisition and sale of land for development
• Affordable housing sales to registered providers.
• Various infrastructure and utilities agreements/deeds.
• Easements
• Agreements for Lease

Abbey has nearly 5 years of experience working in the legal sector in property, land and development, previously working within an in-house legal team for a nationwide property developer. Abbey started her career as a paralegal, qualifying as a solicitor in March 2025. She enjoys working on matters that require ‘problem solving’, getting stuck in where she can, to provide client-focused advice and create long-lasting client relationships.

Abbey is based at Holmes & Hills Solicitors’ regional Head Office – the A12 Commercial Hub in Marks Tey, Colchester.
