Elizabeth Whybrew

As a trainee solicitor in Holmes & Hills Solicitors' Corporate and Commercial Department, Elizabeth is currently being mentored by Partner, and head of the Department, Matt Downing. 

Working closely with Matt and the wider team, Elizabeth assists on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including:

• Buying and selling businesses
• Advising business owners on preparing for a future sale or exit
• Company restructuring and succession planning  
• Corporate reorganisations, including share allotments, buybacks, and reductions of capital
• Advising on share classes, shareholder rights, and share capital structure
• Shareholders’ agreements, articles of association, and advising shareholders  
• Partnership agreements and advising partners   
• Commercial contracts and terms and conditions

Elizabeth prides herself on her personable and proactive approach to her clients, ensuring that she provides pragmatic solutions to her clients throughout all proceedings.

Elizabeth has previous experience working as a paralegal at a London law firm and is currently studying the LPC at the University of Law.

Elizabeth joined Holmes & Hills Solicitors in 2025, and is based at Holmes & Hills Solicitors' regional Head Office - the A12 Commercial Hub - in Marks Tey, Colchester.
