From 1 November 2022, Rebecca Mason will be the Managing Partner of Holmes & Hills Solicitors, alongside partner, Steven Hopkins. Rebecca and Steven are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the firm, working to ensure that the firm's specialist legal services are provided to its commercial, local authority, and individual clients across the region in accordance with the firm’s values and mission statement.

Alongside her Managing Partner role, Rebecca is head of the Commercial Departments at Holmes & Hills Solicitors' and the firm's lead solicitor regarding development and land matters. Rebecca advises and represents the firm's developer and land-owning clients in their negotiations for sales, acquisitions, and in the formation of complex development agreements.

Rebecca is individually recognised by the Legal 500 - an independent directory of the UK's top law firms and solicitors - as a 'Leading Individual'. Rebecca is noted as ‘spearheading the growth of the firms' offering' in the Commercial Property sphere, amongst her expertise in development and land issues. Rebecca is a specialist source of legal advice within the region and has been so for several consecutive years.

Rebecca works in partnership with and advises Holmes & Hills Solicitors' developer and land-owning clients, as well as working closely with professional contacts across the region, including land agents, land consultants, and land promoters.

Rebecca provides her clients with pragmatic legal advice on their matters, this often surrounding the negotiation and drafting of complex development agreements including option, promotion, pre-emption, joint-venture, and consortium agreements.

Rebecca's specialist expertise and experience advising and representing clients across East Anglia, regularly on the other side to national house builders and their magic circle legal counsel, means she is well placed to provide the necessary legal advice, but also pragmatic guidance, developers and landowners require when negotiating and dealing with such parties themselves.

Rebecca is based at Holmes & Hills Solicitors' regional Head Office - the A12 Commercial Hub - in Colchester (Marks Tey).
