Zoe joined Holmes & Hills’ Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Team in March 2017.

Zoe has an extensive legal background with over 5 years’ experience dealing with clinical negligence claims. Whilst at her previous company Zoe successfully achieved a £475,000 settlement for the negligent performance of an upper and lower blepharoplasty. Other cases Zoe has settled include failure to earlier diagnose and appropriately treat a sarcoma; failure to warn of the unpredictable outcome of adult squint correction; and delay in diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma (which included an allegation of a “system-failure” by the Defendant Trust).

Zoe also has experience in dealing with a fatal action claim against a care home concerning neglect of an elderly resident, a cosmetic procedure case concerning permanent facial filler injections; and a wrongful birth claim for failure to detect spina bifida in utero.

Zoe has also dealt with optician’s negligence and dental negligence including a successful trial of liability in a case concerning a failure by an Optometrist to urgently refer to an ophthalmic surgeon for a suspected detached retina.

In her spare time Zoe enjoys reading, listening to Radio 4; mindful meditation and Pilates.
