Holmes & Hills is pleased to announce that four of our trainee solicitors have joined the firm as qualified solicitors, marking further growth for the firm’s Private Client, Clinical Negligence and Dispute Resolution Departments.
Amelia Clarke and Bethany Lane have qualified into the firm's Private Client Department, Chloe Canham joins the Clinical Negligence and Serious Injury Department, and Nina Walklett has qualified into the Dispute Resolution Department.
Amelia Clarke and Bethany Lane both join Holmes & Hills’ Private Client Department in the firm’s Braintree office.
The Private Client Department at Holmes & Hills is one of the firm’s largest and most diverse teams, advising clients across a wide spectrum of matters including wills, probate, powers of attorney, tax planning, trusts, and Court of Protection work. Given the breadth of this practice area, the department has developed a strategy of building deep expertise through individual specialisms. This means that each lawyer is able to focus on a particular niche, ensuring clients benefit from high-quality, tailored advice from someone dealing exclusively in that area of law.
Reflecting this approach, Amelia and Bethany have each carved out their own specialist focus as they begin their careers as solicitors.
Firstly, Amelia qualifies and will be working alongside Partner and Head of Private Client Department, Mark Cornell to bolster the firms Court of Protection work. Primarily, Amelia will be preparing and submitting a variety of deputyship applications and assisting with the Court of Protection process for Holmes & Hills’ most vulnerable clients and their loved ones.
Secondly, Bethany will be working closely with Senior Chartered Legal Executive, Andrew East as well as Partner, Mark Cornell specialising in trust matters. Bethany will focus on helping Holmes & Hills’ clients to set up and terminate trusts, as well undertaking trust deed drafting and providing stand-alone trust advice.
Chloe Canham qualifies into the firm’s highly regarded Clinical Negligence claims and Serious Injury Department, headed up by Partner, Jason Brady. The team is recognised for handling complex and sensitive claims, supporting clients and their families through some of the most challenging times of their lives.
Chloe will represent individuals affected by medical negligence supporting them with a broad range of claims related to birth injury, misdiagnosis, surgical errors, cosmetic procedures, optometry and mental health related negligence. By focusing on achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients, Chloe will contribute to the department’s ongoing growth and reputation for providing specialist, compassionate advice to those pursuing medical negligence claims.
Nina Walklett has qualified into Holmes & Hills’ Dispute Resolution Department, where she will work alongside Associate, Harry Grant. The department advises businesses and individuals on a wide range of disputes, providing results-driven advice to help clients resolve conflicts.
Nina will focus on commercial dispute resolution and a broad spectrum of general litigation matters, delivering strategic advice and detailed insight across a wide range of legal issues, including but not limited to:
